Full Retention Petrol Interceptors used for high-risk areas e.g. petrol station forecourts
These tend to be normally much smaller surface areas
This type of interceptor provides 100% coverage
Required for safety & environmental reasons
Installed on surface water drainage systems to protect receiving waters from oil pollution
Class 1
This takes into account the accumulation of silt and subsequent loss of capacity; the tank is therefore sized to allow for this.
Available in Single stage, Two stage, Three stage
Designed in accordance with the recommendations of PPG3
9 models from NS4/1 – NS100/1 (larger available on application)

Bypass Petrol Interceptors:
Used on larger low risk areas e.g. car parks
Designed to cope with 10% of calculated peak storm flows
During full storm conditions any pollutants are diluted
Retained pollutants are left undisturbed by storm flows as the increased flows bypass the chamber
Drainage areas 833-55,566m
